A Gift in your Will

“The wonderful community in Catz has given me great friends, constant intellectual stimulation and amazing support. Recognising what a huge benefit I have received from the College, I wanted to respond in a practical way by making a bequest in my Will.” The late Professor Sir Alan Battersby (1969, Honorary Fellow)

Remembering St Catharine’s in your Will is an especially personal and powerful way to support the College. Legacy gifts have a tremendous and enduring impact, and bequests can attract favourable tax treatment. The Woodlark Society
The Woodlark Society of St Catharine’s was established in 1995 to recognise those who have made a legacy in favour of the College.

We understand that your Will arrangements are a personal matter and you may wish them to remain confidential. However, if you were to let us know if the College is included in your Will, it would offer us an opportunity to thank you and invite you to join the Woodlark Society, should you wish to do so. Joining the Society is a matter of preference and some legators prefer to decline membership.

Members of the Society are invited to a special annual event, as well as to the College Garden Party, which takes place in June.

Further information about leaving a gift in your Will can be found on the College’s Website. You may also like to read our Inheritance Tax information guide to find out about the tax benefits available by making a bequest in favour of the College.
