Supporting the renovation of Hobson’s

We plan to refurbish the suite of rooms within this much-loved building.

Constructed in the 1930s, Hobson’s has remained largely untouched since 1960. As well as bringing the rooms up to modern standards, adding ensuite bathrooms, and improving access overall, consideration will be given to ground floor disabled facility provision. Refurbishment will be of a high specification for term time accommodation to students, and as an attractive building for alumni to stay in when attending College events, alongside offering significant rental appeal for conference business.

Campaign Target

We are seeking support to revitalize this much loved College building to ensure that Hobson’s is one again choice accommodation. The estimated cost of this project is £3 million to restore this stunning building to its former glory, and improve the function and facilities within.

Major donors to this project (£50,000+) will be given the option to have a room dedicated in their name to reflect their support. Additionally, all alumni and friends who support this project will be listed on a recognition board.
