Catherine Twilley – Fellow (2023) and Development Director
Catherine joined St Catharine’s in April 2023 from Christ’s College, Cambridge, where she had been responsible for alumni relations and fundraising as Development Director since 2008. Prior to that she was Development Officer and, latterly, Associate Development Director, at St John’s College, Cambridge, where she also took her BA in Classics and rowed with the Lady Margaret Boat Club.
Within the University, Catherine was an active member of the University Alumni Advisory Board’s Working Group on Networks and Volunteers, and voluntary work is close to her heart. She is a Trustee of the Cambridge Sports Lake Trust and of the Hawks and Ospreys Charitable Trust. She was Parent Governor of Hill’s Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge between 2019 and 2021, and she served as a St John Ambulance Volunteer Vaccinator in 2021.
Declan Hamilton – Head of Fundraising
Declan joined St Catharine’s in March 2022. As Head of Fundraising, he works closely with the Development Director on all aspects of fundraising, in particular focussing on the final stages of the ‘Our College Our Future’ campaign. Meeting alumni, hearing about their time at St Catharine’s and how their career and life has progressed, is one of the most enjoyable parts of this role. The other pleasure is the opportunity to thank alumni and friends for their generosity to the College.
Declan has worked in Development and Alumni Relations since 2007, including Bristol University (his alma mater), the Royal College of Music and Trinity College, Cambridge. He has also worked in House Management and Widening Participation at the Royal Opera House and had a brief career as a professional singer.
Sarah Dadd – Development Manager
Sarah joined the team in January 2022 with a wealth of experience in communications. As well as managing the Events Officer role, Sarah is responsible for maintaining and creating all communications, publications and digital content for the office.
Gemma Hayden – Database Manager
Gemma joined the team in 2022, bringing with her many years of valuable experience as database manager at Murray Edwards College. Gemma ensures everybody’s records are up to date – ensuring Members receive communications, event invitations and latest news from the College – and is leading the way in a major database transition for the team.
Bekah Greenbank – Fundraising Manager
Bekah joined the team in 2022 with prior experience in Philanthropic Fundraising. At St. Catharine’s, Bekah oversees the Woodlark Society and the regular giving programme together with ensuring alumni can fulfil their wishes to support the college in whichever way is best for them.
Saskia Burton – Events Officer
As well as project managing and organising all ADO events and Members’ Reunions, Saskia handles alumni queries and brings her positive customer service to the role. She also assists the Development Manager with content creation.
Denise Kennedy – Executive Administrator
Denise joined the team in 2022. Denise acts as the Development Director’s Executive Assistant, liaising with alumni, fellows and students. She additionally provides support for the ADO including general office management and helping with events, communications and donor stewardship tasks.
